In A New Light: American Impression 1870 \u2013 1940\u00a0<\/i>explores both the dissemination of Impressionism from its French roots into the American idiom and its reinterpretation of American landscape painting. Drawn from the Bank of America Collection, the works in the exhibition, by a diverse group of more than 75 artists, trace not only the development of Impressionism in the United States but also the emergence of a truly American style of painting.<\/p>\n

This Exhibition has been loaned through the Bank of America Art in our Communities program.<\/em><\/p>\n

Art in Our Communities\u00ae<\/p>\n

The Bank of America Art in our Communities Program was established in 2009 in order to share the company\u2019s art collection with the widest possible audience.\u00a0 Comprising the art collections of the predecessor banks that are now part of Bank of America, the program offers museums and nonprofit galleries the opportunity to borrow complete or customized exhibitions at no cost.\u00a0 The public is able to enjoy new art installations at its local museums, while the museums themselves are able to generate vital revenue.\u00a0 Since 2009, more than 130 exhibitions have been loaned through this one-of-a-kind program.<\/p>\n
