About The Art<\/h2>\n

The Butler Institute\u2019s collection is presented historically, from its 1719 Limner portrait through the 21st-century avant-garde. Pictured above is a gathering from the early 20th century, representative of The Eight, also known as the Ashcan School. This gallery also includes Charles Sheeler\u2019s Steam Turbine<\/em>, Georgia O\u2019Keeffe\u2019s Cottonwood Trees<\/em>, George Luks’ Caf\u00e9 Francis<\/em>, Reginald Marsh\u2019s The Normandie<\/em>, and Arthur Dove\u2019s Ice and Clouds<\/em>. <\/span><\/p>\n
