Ten tactile displays and ten framed prints make up this unique exhibition which is an accompaniment to our Washington: The Myths and the Men exhibition<\/em>. Tactile Images delivers accessible and inclusive image to the blind, disabled, and sighted communities. These transformative experiences allow for an intimate connection with a wide range of visual and graphic material. Images designed for touch provide the opportunity to acquire visual information independently, without relying on recorded descriptions or the interpretation of a sighted companion. Unser can explore the depth and complexity of these artworks and images for the first time. This exhibition will be displayed in Finnegan\/Hynes Gallery.<\/p>\n This Exhibition was developed by TactileImages.com in association with FedEx, the National Federation of the Blind and Stars and Stripes.<\/em><\/p>\n 3DPhotoWorks and Tactile Images have partnered with Getty Images and the National Federation of the Blind to deliver more than 45 million images to the world’s blind population at museums, science centers, libraries, and government programs that<\/span> serve the disabled. <\/span><\/p>\n This initiative will significantly enhance educational opportunities and cultural inclusion for blind individuals worldwide. These transformative experiences allow visitors to<\/span> develop an intimate connection with a wide range of visual and graphic material. Images designed for touch provide the opportunity to acquire visual information independently, without relying on recorded descriptions or the interpretation of a sighted companion.<\/span><\/p>\n 3DPhotoWorks and Tactile Images were formed to make images of people, places, and history accessible to the world’s blind and disabled.
