I love my friends and look to them for inspiration.  Just did this drawing of my friend Sarah.  Used one of the pictures I took of her at the Female Photo Shoot.  I might be doing more drawing of my friends.  This was SUPER fun!

My Favorite Things

Did the drawing this morning, I’m not sure if this is done or not but I dig it.  I’m thinking of calling it “My Favorite Things” and drawing stuff all over it (butterflies, flowers, paw print, necklace…).  Going to let it sit for a bit with just the camera and maybe come back to it later.

Quick Update

I do well for a while and post lots of stuff then I let it laps.  Sorry about that.  I fell into jewelry making and I fell hard.  Totally obsessed with it actually.  I have used my photos and been making pendants.  They are turning out pretty nice if I do say so myself.  I will have to get a few posted on here.  Might be setting up a store on Etsy (will keep you posted on that).

This my crow drawing done as an image transfer on Plexi glass.  I didn’t think this was going to turn out because when I first started taking the paper off, the paint was coming off the plexi.  I left it alone for a week or so then went back to it, took my time, and was able to get it to turn out.  Hooray for that and I will try to post some of my jewelry on here later.

Blue Bird Drawing

I am very much in a pencil drawing mood the past couple weeks.  Going to be doing a lot more of this I think.  I’m having a great time with it!  Back to basics, baby.  =o)

Crow Drawing

Quick crow drawing before bed.   This is the rough draft for a pretty color one later on.  LOTS of ideas in my head right now.  Trying to get a few of them out so I can sleep.

Brahmin Moth

I started this drawing on my india ink background.  It’s a Brahmin Moth.  I’m liking it so far so I thought I would post progress.

Test Run

Test drawing of the leaf on a small piece of backer board that I painted the same color as the 4 canvases. This is just colored pencil, going to try watercolor pencils next. This looks a bit flat to me. I need to bump up the colors of the leaf, need to see the veins more. Don’t get me wrong, I like the look of this, I just think it is not quit there yet.
