I have always liked high dynamic range (HDR) photos. There is a special camera which you are supposed to use to make these images or you can mimic it in photoshop using various techniques. You can fake it with 3 photos shot with 3 different exposures or with one photo and slapping a ton of different layer masks over it. This one I created using a bunch of masks. There is something a little off about it but I think it is pretty cool overall.
I am having a heck of a good time playing with all these effects. Â
I have been trying out effects in photoshop. As someone who used to really hate how much people played with photos I must say, I am loving some of these effects! Some you actually have to have a sepcial camera for so it is kind of cool to be able to use one camera and get these different effects.
This is a lomography photo. It is basically a rustic looking, high contrast image. I am finding I very much enjoy the effect on my photos from the farm in Iowa.Â

For those of you who are here looking for my just photography site, it is being worked on – I am trying to pick a layout. I would like it to be up by next week end but in the world of technology, I am not going to hold my breath for anything. Lets just say, I will have that up as soon as I can.

I went to the Botanical Garden last weekend and I am just now getting around to putting up pictures from it. This is my favorite one from that trip. It was raining and I think I got some really cool shots. I will try and post the rest when I get off work tonight.

I did some couple photos over the weekend for some friends. Had a blast! Now I am on the look out for more couples to take pictures of. Please contact me if you are interested.

Whenever I send the word out that I am in the mood to take pictures of people, my friend Sarah is always one to apply. Which rocks for me because she is so pretty and she does not embarrass easily so we have a good time. I took her to the school where I’m doing the backdrop and put her up on stage and took a couple hundred pictures of her over the weekend (super fun).

Hands down one of my top favorite places to go in St. Louis. Took one of my friends there today who had never been there (which is a crime) and when we walked in she was just open mouth, wide-eyed looking around for a good 5-10 minutes. Such a glorious place. I posted some of the photos from today here (the last 6 are the new ones).
